Question by Daniel K: Why is there a delay when I use my behringer midi keyboard through Reason 4 on my computer?
There is a slight delay, the keyboard is connected through a USB. Do I need a new soundcard or should it be right on time through a USB?

It’s called ‘Latency’. The amount of latency depends on your sound card. More latency = bad.

Question by juoj8: Notes never die off with usb midi keyboard, why doesn’t it?
I use an Edirol PCR-500 USB-connected midi controller with Propellerheads Reason 3.0 software, but when I play the notes never stop. I can adjust falloff so each note fades out in Reason, but the recorded notes in the sequencer shows that the notes never stops! I have tried Asio4all but it didn’t help.
There is no such thing as MIDI echo on the Edirol PCR-500. The manual says nothing about it.

Make sure your ‘MIDI echo’ is turned off in the Edirol.

Question by : How do I get my reason 2.5 program to work with my axiom25 keyboard?
The mini controller is not working. No sound coming out of the mini controller.

well, usually the sound isn’t suppose to come from the midi controller, but from your computer. Have you remembered to setup reason to run with your controller? Im not sure about 2.5, but in 3.0-4.0 it’s in edit > preferences > Keyboards and control surfaces
You also should check out if you wired it correct, and if the controller and reason even is compatible

I just got Reason 4, and need a USB Midi Keyboard to help with producing. Mainly I want to make Trance/techno type music. Can you recommend me a good one? I know nothing about USB keyboards.

you got two options: one get a interface that will connect you keyboard to you computer, on this option you will only be able to use sounds of you triton for recording the other option would be conecting you keyboard through the usb port and using as a control, on this option it will control sounds on reason… but step by step if you still need help you should contact reason’s customer service
