Is Propellerhead Reason’s sound library better than that of which you would find on a high end keyboard like a Korg triton or a Roland Fantom G-6, G-7 or G-8?

Reason’s sound library is excellent and recorded by some of the world’s top studio musicians. However, they key for reason users is the sound treatment capability. The sound library is pretty big at approx 1Gb so you will always find samples you can work with – loops on the other hand, not the most comprehensive of libraries however plenty of other soundbanks out there which can be used. The only main issue is; if you are a serious keyboard player/pianist, there will be an element of output latency in reason (unless you spend a small fortune on a very high end pc) which, for live sets is no use – a high end keyboard is designed without latency – so for live sets is my recommendation. For it’s overall capability and functionality though I would always recommend reason – the possibilities are endless…
